Net Casino Sucker Wagers — Part 2

[ English ]
  • Progressive side bets: Casino games like Caribbean Stud Poker often have one of these. You generally place a bet ($1 is the usual amount) to try to win a side jackpot that could be upwards of twenty-five thousand dollars. Though huge jackpots like these are very alluring, they are also very difficult to succeed. You would have to hit a Royal Flush in order to succeed on this bet. Also, think about this- you wager twenty hands and lay the side wager each time. That’s 20 dollars you should have used towards the actual game bet in place of a sucker bet. Just think about what you might have been able to win at a bet with greater odds employing that $20.
  • Single number bets in Roulette: This is especially true for American Roulette. The reason? American Roulette has two 0’s on the wheel, unlike European Roulette, which has just 1. This shifts the overall casino advantage from 2percent with a single zero wheel to a huge 5% in American. The one number wager has just a 1 in thirty eight chance of succeeding, which are very big odds indeed. Try even-odd or black-red wagers as a substitute which have a much lower casino edge.
  • Keno: Any variation of Keno, and anyway you gamble on it, the house advantage can be a huge 25%. Yes, that isn’t a error. Due to the huge amount of numbers you have to choose, it’s not recommended to gamble on Keno very much. A couple of times for fun, maybe. But don’t spend all your money on it or you will immediately find yourself beaten.
